Asst. Fire Chief Hammack Retires

With sincere appreciation for his 35 years of dedicated service to the community, Duncan Fire Department and City of Duncan congratulated Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Hammack on his retirement from Station 1 “C” Shift at a farewell held at Central Fire Station on May 21, 2025. 

With Hammack’s family, friends and fellow firefighters gathered to celebrate, Duncan Fire Chief Dayton Burnside, in offering his congratulations stated, “It was an honor and a privilege to serve alongside Hammack.” 

Hammack, Badge #127, began his service with Duncan Fire Department on April 15, 1990. 

City Manager Deal, in his presentation to Hammack, thanked him for the heartfelt services he provided to the community and wished both he, and his family, much success in his future endeavors. "A firefighter’s strength lies not only in muscle, but in heart, grit, and sacrifice." — Unknown
