(Duncan, Okla.) – At approximately 9:15 AM on Tuesday, June 24th, officers with the Duncan Police Department responded to a report of a possible overdose at 314 North B Street. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive female. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by both officers and medical personnel, a 38-year-old female was pronounced deceased at the scene. In accordance with standard procedure, this incident was treated as a possible homicide investigation with an increased law enforcement presence and the public requested to avoid the area to ensure the safety and efficiency of first responders. The scene is now processed and released; however no name will be released until all next of kin are notified. The Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the body and will determine the official cause of death.
