The Substations and Automation (S&A) Department handles many of the more sophisticated services that Duncan Power provides. 

These include: 

• Installation
• Maintenance of specialized electronic meters for large customers
• Planning and maintenance of Duncan Power's redundant power-distribution systems
• Programming

The S&A crew is also responsible for weekly inspections at all local substations.
