Please note that when Duncan Power is aware of any outages affecting neighborhoods across Duncan, our team is working safely and strategically to restore power.

City of Duncan's adopted Emergency Action Plan states that as far as possible, the priority for restoration of service to customers is:  "hospitals, water treatment & pumping (only if their emergency generation is inoperable), vital city/county services (including Stephens County Health Dept.), schools (when in session or needed as emergency aid centers, all schools may not be needed.) grocery stores, restaurants and hotels. In the event of a system wide hours long power outage in the wintertime consideration is given to the impact on the local natural gas distribution system and its ability to provide gas service to the restored electric power customers."

After all critical  services are restored, our team moves on to the areas where the most customers are affected, and power can be restored to the highest number of homes. This process continues, from the largest number of customers down to the single customer affected, until all power is restored.

How can you help? Always report your outage at 580-252-0250 during regular business hours of Monday thru Thursday or the afterhours non-emergency number 580-255-2112. Keep away from downed lines and be patient- our team of lineworkers are working as quickly as is safely possible in challenging situations and are doing their best.
